<image:title>Projects - Sisyphean Action at SUE</image:title>
<image:caption>Image credit: Sam Roberts Sisyphean Action, like much of my work, is primarily concerned with how the animate and inanimate bodies connect, compare and impact one another. The rock being a rough, dense, hard and heavy object provides comparison to the soft body and resistance for the body to become taught against. The body remains comparatively soft even when the brace is the most intense. Tension and release are key in this movement vocabulary. Performer/maker: Alison Currie</image:caption>

<image:title>Projects - Creatures - Adelaide Dance Festival & Samstag</image:title>
<image:caption>‘Creatures’ by Alison Currie and The Human Arts Movement is an exploration of human movement and repetition. Oscillating and gradually morphing between movements, together the seven dancers shapeshift; signifying a flock, a single organism or diverse individuals. The work recognises humans as creatures. For the inaugural Adelaide Dance Festival, ‘Creatures’ will be performed at Samstag Museum of Art in response to the exhibition A Conversation with Jheronimus by South Australian-based visual artist Aldo Iacobelli. As the dancers move among Iacobelli’s installation of site-specific installations, a cross-disciplinary dialogue emerges about what it means to be human. 5:30pm Wednesday 11th July Supported by Independent Arts Foundation and Samstag Museum of Art Image credit Sam Roberts</image:caption>

<image:caption>Image credit Andrew Sikorski 'Maintain, Rest, Value' is a dance series which sees Ade Suharto and Alison Currie respond to people’s life work (interviews, photographs, artwork) and a collection of sites (room, building, park) through crafted performance. The artists invite audiences and communities to feel a sense of ownership, lineage, responsibility, and care through their offerings. Ade and Alison aim to distil the essence of each interaction to create site-responsive experiences to behold connection to place and to one another.</image:caption>
